UPDATE: SATURDAY JUNE 27, 2026
Although we are targeting a reopening in the second half of July, tickets are not currently available.
We are continuing to work through the inspection and approval process with Technical Safety BC, and we understand that this process will take time. Once a reopening date, operating hours, and ticket options have been finalized, new tickets will be released for purchase. In the meantime, we have temporarily suspended all ticket sales and are issuing refunds to all ticket holders.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete the remaining inspections, repairs, and receive regulatory approvals.
UPDATE: FRIDAY JUNE 19, 2026
We understand there are many unanswered questions at this time and we hope these can be addressed as information becomes available. The investigation into this horrible incident is still in progress, we have confidence in the Technical Safety BC investigative team to determine the cause.
In addition to this, a site wide inspection is being conducted across the park to identify areas of concern. The steps being taken are critical to prevent an incident like this from happening again. We continue to cooperate and will respond accordingly as information is made available to us regarding the incident and onsite non-compliances.
Although non-compliances are not yet available to us, our understanding is we will receive these shortly. We do not know the full scope of work, and cannot confirm a specific reopening date. Adjustments to our targeted opening date will be made as needed to complete all requirements. We are refunding all tickets purchased for June and will put efforts towards being open in July pending successful completion of work, and all necessary approvals.
More information will be provided as it becomes known.
UPDATE: TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2026
Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all the victims, their families and classmates who were affected by the electrical incident which occurred yesterday. As we are in the early stages of review, information is limited. Technical Safety BC is actively investigating the incident, and their findings will be reported. We are fully cooperating with all authorities as they complete this process.
At this time, we are not confirming a reopening date. Our immediate closure will continue to be extended and ongoing as needed to adequately complete all thorough reviews, and for us to address the findings and required actions. Cultus Lake Waterpark will not reopen until approval is given from WorkSafe BC, Technical Safety BC and Fraser Health.
This incident occurred at the bottom of our Zero to 60 waterslide attraction, past the end of the slide. Located there, is a steel frame tent structure with handrails. This structure is understood to be the object which victims came in contact with.
This incident was tragic and we are deeply upset by what these children experienced at our park.
